Chicken Bone Beach is located near the Missouri Avenue area of Atlantic City where African American residents were socially restricted. These families and residents would go to the beach with picnic hampers full of chicken, and it was affectionately dubbed Chicken Bone Beach. Today it is a designated local historic landmark. Events are held here throughout the year, including a jazz concert series.
